SoundMinds Radio gets you behind the research and ideas in contemporary life. Our team of presenters discuss the latest thinking behind some of the key issues in society. SoundMinds Radio is 15 minutes of audio food for thought.
We seek out great research that might not be reported in the mainstream media. Each podcast takes on a different topic. We let the researchers tell the story in their own words. The aim is to explore the thinking behind the ideas, to tell the story behind the research.

SoundMinds Radio began as a student collaboration between Michael Schubert (Byron Bay), Dallas Rogers (Sydney) and Kylie Sturgess (Perth), who met while studying for a Diploma in Digital Content Production (Radio) at the Australian Film Television and Radio School (AFTRS). We produced a series of sample episodes for our final assessment and Dallas and Michael continued the project with the assistance of a Community Broadcasting Foundation (CBF) Content Production Grant.
At SoundMinds Radio we believe in the Socratic method, so leave us a comment, suggest a new story or recommend a researcher to contact. We love hearing your ideas, and we love to collaborate. We welcome and support other contributors, particularly from community radio stations, academic institutions and allied research centres.
